L245 — common questions
- What is L245 equivalent to?
- L245 is closest to API 5L Gr.B, EN L245. These are the standard comparisons used for sourcing; the mill certificate supplied with each shipment carries the actual chemistry and mechanical values for the heat.
- What sizes of L245 do you stock?
- We currently hold 19 size combinations of L245, from Φ560mm to Φ630mm outside diameter with wall thickness from 35mm to 75mm.
- Can you supply L245 heat treated?
- Yes. We supply L245 in these delivery conditions: Hot rolled, Normalized, Beveled ends per ASME B16.25. Heat treatment is done in-house before shipment and process records with temperature curves ship with the goods.
- Can L245 be cut to length before shipment?
- Yes. We saw-cut to fixed lengths with a typical tolerance of ±1–2mm and end squareness of ≤1mm/100mm, so the material can go straight onto your machine without a facing operation.
